At The Fulton School, toddlers through 3rd graders experience a traditional Montessori environment, like you might see in Montessori classrooms all over the world. Beginning in 4th grade and through 12th grade, we offer a strong college-prep curriculum delivered with the Montessori philosophy.
What is the Montessori philosophy? It is a comprehensive curriculum and developmental approach developed at the turn of the 20th century by Dr. Maria Montessori. She studied how children learn and built an incredible program that would meet their intellectual, emotional, and social needs. A century later, students in Montessori environments demonstrate self confidence, strong character, and a deep love of learning thanks to Dr. Montessori’s refreshing and ingenious work.
At The Fulton School, students are engaged, challenged, and excited to learn. Teaching students to think critically, write and speak effectively, collaborate, exercise initiative, and display good character are our highest priorities. Preparing students for studying and working on their own -- in college and then professionally -- are the end goals. Mutual respect, freedom balanced with responsibility, and plenty of choices create a unique atmosphere that students love.
